  1. How much notice do you need for an online order?
    We need 2-4 days notice. So, if you plan on ordering online, you must order 2-4 business days ahead from the day you want to receive or pick up your order. We deliver two days later for small orders (5 units or less on baked goods) and 4 days for larger orders (up to 50 units or less). You can also order ahead of time greater than 5 days and specify a date and time you need it in "Special Request" box as you proceed through checkout. You must, however, order by 2:30PM to be picked up or delivered on the 2nd or 4th day. If ordering on Monday by 2:30PM your order will be ready on Wednesday for small orders or Friday for larger orders--we will deliver between 8AM and 3PM or we will call when it is ready for pick up that day.

  2. Is there a minimum order for delivery?
    Minimum for delivery is $10.00.

  3. When and where do you deliver?
    We only deliver to Bakersfield area at this time. Any other orders outside of Bakersfield can be picked up at our physical location. We deliver between 8am and 3pm. If there is a specified time, please enter it in the "Special Request" box as you proceed through checkout. We are currently closed on weekends for delivery. So if you order online on Friday by 2:30PM, your order will be delivered Tuesday between 8am and 3pm (or Wednesday if ordered on Friday after 2:30PM). You may also arrange a pick up during the weekends if you want your order sooner.

  4. Why is it that when I order, the shipping shows up as $1,000.00?
    The $1,000.00 shipping is a default that your order is too large for the delivery time you chose. You need to change the delivery time at a later date and it will adjust back to its normal delivery rate after hitting the "recalculate" button.

  5. Is there any way to receive an order earlier than waiting 2-4 days?
    Depending on how much you're ordering and our workload for that day, we may be able to accomodate your order so that you may receive it earlier. This can only be done by contacting us by phone or by walk-in and must be prepaid ahead of time by either credit card over the phone and cash/credit card/check for walk-in orders. There may be times, however, that we will be fully booked and not be able to accept your last-minute order.

  6. Can I just swing by and get an order anytime?
    Since we are a small start-up pastry shop and are currently short-staffed, the selection of pastries is limited at this time. In order to keep the pastries fresh, we only keep a very small amount available for walk-in customers until we start building our clientele. So, it is best to place an order first.

  7. Do you do rolled fondant cakes?
    Yes, we do. Custom cakes and special-sized cakes can be ordered through walk-in only. We have some catalogs that you can look through. You can also find ideas at Cake Central's Website Photo Gallery. Come by and tell us your ideas and pictures of what you're interested in.
